Transport and logistics
Your partner for digital change in transport
For hauliers with 6-100 vehicles, businesses using their own fleet and external carriers, freight forwarders and logistics operators. We combine bespoke software, AI integration, training and change management. AI agents prepare drafts for your approval.
The loading bay in your system: arrival time, waiting time and departure. Demo screen with fictional data.
At a glance
Gitogi helps Italian hauliers with bespoke software, integration, artificial intelligence and agents in workflows, training and change management. Based in Milan, we’re an official Odoo partner. Odoo is one of our tools: shipments by bay and haulier, downloadable prefilled CMRs from deliveries; Odoo Fleet records contracts, costs and maintenance. The Italian DDT is included in the standard Italian localisation. Agents read documents, compare data and draft paperwork for your approval.
Diesel prices are up, drivers are scarce, paperwork eats into your evenings
Two tools to do the sumsIn 2026, haulage costs rose 9% year on year, driven by diesel prices. Energy accounts for about 30% of operating costs (Confetra, economic note, 14/05/2026). The price you quoted in January no longer covers your costs. Finding out at the end of the month, when you work out the cost of the trip, is too late.
There is a shortage of about 20,000 drivers (ANITA, 2026), and the drivers you have spend hours waiting at loading bays. The law allows a 90-minute grace period per operation, followed by compensation of 100 euros for every hour or part of an hour (Decree-Law 73/2025). Yet only 28% of firms with 21-50 vehicles manage to get it paid, and just 5% of micro firms (Assotir monitoring presented on 10 February 2026): without accurate time records, you bear the cost of the delay.
Every trip starts with a delivery note, a CMR, an Excel spreadsheet and your customers' portals, each with its own password. The driver calls you from the yard, you call the customer back, and in the evening you enter the same data somewhere else. It's not a question of effort: those hours of work don't bring in a single extra trip.
The deadline
ETS2 from 2028: what changes when you quote for a trip
ETS2 will be fully operational from 2028 (European Commission): fuel suppliers will pay for the allowances, and the cost will feed through to pump prices. For Italian road transport, estimates put the cost at 2 to 3 billion euros a year, about 30 cents per litre (Most-Fondazione Cseli study for the Conftrasporto Forum, October 2025); other estimates range from 10 to 32 cents. These are estimates, not set charges. For you, this changes how you prepare a quote: you need to know how much diesel each trip actually uses, route by route, and agree an adjustment clause in advance to avoid having to negotiate it afterwards.
Three ways forward: we'll tell you honestly which one you need
Standard Odoo
The version of Odoo released in September 2026 lets you download a pre-filled CMR from a delivery and manages shipments by loading bay and carrier. Odoo Fleet tracks vehicle contracts, costs and maintenance. The Italian DDT is included in Odoo's standard Italian localisation. If these features cover your work, we won't sell you anything else.
Integration
Keep Odoo, and we'll connect the tools and data you already use: vehicle GPS, tachograph, customer data and the electronic consignment note (eCMR, operational in Italy since 26 September 2024, on a voluntary basis). You won't need to enter the same data twice. We start with one connection at a time, only where it saves you hours.
Custom software with AI
Where Odoo falls short — rates per route or pallet, trip costing, subcontractor pre-invoicing, driver apps and route optimisation — we build custom software. AI drafts the office work, and a person approves it. We know how because we're doing it for ourselves too, in the transport platform we're building.

Who we work with
Haulier with 6–100 vehicles
You run 6 to 100 vehicles. Your business is one of the 99,043 companies active on the national register at the end of June 2026 (Rivista Tir): compared with the end of 2025, fleets of 6 or more vehicles have grown, especially those above 50, while those with 1 to 5 have shrunk. We help you see how much you earn on every trip.
Company with its own fleet and outside carriers
You manufacture or distribute goods using your own vehicles and outside carriers. We bring together orders, deliveries and costs for both, so you can compare the cost of a trip in your own van with the cost of using a carrier. AI prepares the drafts, and a person approves them.
Forwarder or logistics operator
You run a small or medium-sized forwarding or logistics business and work with subcontractors. Standard Odoo doesn't include trip costing or subcontractor pre-invoicing: we build them with you. AI prepares the work, and a person approves it.
Two tools to do the sums
Enter your arrival and departure times: we subtract the 90-minute grace period and calculate 100 euros for every hour or part of an hour (Decree-Law 73/2025). See how much compensation to claim from the customer.
Enter your annual diesel consumption in litres to see what ETS2 could cost you from 2028. Choose a scenario from 10 to 32 cents per litre (the central value, 30 cents, is the Most-Fondazione Cseli estimate). Get a figure based on your consumption to use in your next quote.
Compensation to claim
A 90-minute grace period, then 100 euros for every hour or part of an hour (Decree-Law 73/2025). You need accurate time records: without them, you bear the cost of the delay.
Estimated ETS2 cost per year
An estimate, not a set charge: ETS2 will be fully operational from 2028 and fuel suppliers will pay for the allowances (European Commission). The central value of 30 cents is the Most-Fondazione Cseli estimate; other estimates range from 10 to 32 cents per litre.
Help us assess the platform we're building
What we recommend to clients, we build for ourselves too: our transport platform grows out of our work with people who move goods. We're looking for transport companies to help us assess it using their real trips and data. AI prepares the work, and a person approves it. If you'd like to be among the first, get in touch.
Get in touchWhen working with us isn't worthwhile
If you have five vehicles, software that meets your needs and no wish to change, you don't need a project with us. If you work for a single customer who requires you to use their portal, there's little time to save. And if you want a fixed price without reviewing your trips, it's better to say no at the outset. We'd rather tell you today than disappoint you a year from now.
AI-generated imageHelp your team learn the system through real work
We train drivers, the traffic office and accounts on site: from delivery notes on a phone to trip planning and costing. We support the change with coaching, a playbook and documentation so you can manage the system independently.
The questions we're asked most often
Can I create a CMR in Odoo?
Yes. The version of Odoo released in September 2026 lets you download a pre-filled CMR from a delivery. It then needs to fit into the way you work: who signs it, where you file it and whether you send it electronically. The electronic consignment note (eCMR) has been operational in Italy since 26 September 2024, on a voluntary basis.
What about the Italian DDT?
Yes. Odoo's standard Italian localisation includes the DDT, including in version 20: its own numbering, printout and link to the e-invoice. We configure it for your documents and deliveries, with no need to install an OCA module.
Does Odoo handle trip costing?
Standard Odoo doesn't: it has no trip costing, rates per route or pallet, or subcontractor pre-invoicing. We build these features as custom software, starting with the calculations you currently make in Excel. AI prepares the drafts, and a person approves the costing.
Can I connect the GPS we already have?
It depends on the data your GPS provides, but we want to keep what works: that's why integration is one of the three options. First, we look at what you need to know, then we connect your GPS to Odoo or your custom software. We take the same approach with the tachograph, which Odoo doesn't handle.
How long does a project take?
It depends on how many of the three options you choose. We start with the trip-cost check-up, then take small steps, one at a time, measuring the result before and after each step. Our AIRA method ends with a step that matters to us: we hand over the work and step away, so you can manage independently.
