Gitogi Srl is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its website to all people, regardless of their physical, sensory, or cognitive abilities.

1. Reference Standards

The gitogi.com website is designed to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Gitogi Srl is a microenterprise (fewer than 10 staff and annual turnover not exceeding €2 million) and, as such, is among the parties exempt from the obligations of the European Accessibility Act (Art. 4(5), EU Directive 2019/882; Art. 3 of Legislative Decree 27 May 2022, No. 82). We nonetheless adopt the WCAG 2.1 AA standard on a voluntary basis, as a commitment to all users.

We also reference sector legislation, most of which addresses the public sector or does not apply to us given the exemption stated above:

• Law 9 January 2004, No. 4 (Stanca Law) and subsequent amendments
• Legislative Decree 10 August 2018, No. 106 (EU Directive 2016/2102 on web accessibility), which applies to public-sector bodies and is taken here as a technical reference
• AgID Guidelines on website accessibility
• Legislative Decree 27 May 2022, No. 82 (implementation of EU Directive 2019/882 — European Accessibility Act), which provides the microenterprise exemption noted above

2. Accessibility Measures

To ensure the accessibility of the website, we have implemented the following measures:

• Semantic structure: correct use of headings (h1-h6), ARIA landmarks, lists, and tables for structured navigation.
• Keyboard navigation: all website features are accessible via keyboard (Tab, Enter, Escape).
• Visible focus: clear outline on all interactive elements when they receive focus.
• Colour contrast: minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, verified against the design palette.
• Text alternatives: descriptive alt text for all meaningful images.
• Responsive design: the website adapts to various screen sizes and supports zoom up to 200%.
• Reduced motion: respects the prefers-reduced-motion preference to reduce or eliminate animations.
• Touch targets: main interactive controls of at least 44×44px on touch devices.
• Form labels: all form fields are associated with descriptive labels.
• Page language: the lang attribute is correctly set on every page.

3. Compliance Level

The gitogi.com website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Adoption of the standard is voluntary — Gitogi is exempt by law (Section 1) — and we are continuously working to improve accessibility and resolve any remaining issues.

4. Known Limitations

Despite our commitment, some areas of the website may present accessibility limitations:

• PDF documents: some downloadable guides may not be fully accessible. We are working to make all PDFs compliant.
• AI chatbot: the virtual assistant may not be fully accessible with all screen readers. All information provided by the chatbot is also available on the website pages.
• Third-party content: external widgets (Google Calendar, analytics) may not meet all WCAG 2.1 AA criteria.

5. Supported Assistive Technologies

The accessibility of gitogi.com relies on the following technologies:

• CSS3 with Tailwind CSS
• JavaScript / React (Next.js)
• WAI-ARIA for interactive components
• SVG for vector graphics with accessibility attributes

6. Verification Tools

Website accessibility is verified through:

• Lighthouse — automated audit (target: score ≥ 90)
• axe DevTools — automated WCAG analysis
• Manual testing — keyboard navigation, screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA), 200% zoom

8. Enforcement Procedure

We handle accessibility reports directly and will do our best to resolve any issue. Recourse to the Digital Civic Defender (Difensore Civico per il Digitale) at AgID is provided for public-sector websites subject to EU Directive 2016/2102 and does not apply to an exempt private microenterprise; any remedy available to the user under general rules remains unaffected.
